American retailer Walmart is conducting a pilot project with the Russian company Promobot, Rusbase reports. The Russian developer's robot became a consultant in one of the Lider Hiper stores in Santiago, Chile.
According to the founder of Promobot Oleg Kivokurtsev, the transaction amount was 50 thousand dollars. The cost of the robot itself was 30 thousand. Another 20 thousand dollars went to the development of navigation and integration of the robot with goods accounting systems.|
Promobot robot can advise buyers in English, Spanish and Portuguese. You can find out about promotions and special offers from him, as well as clarify the prices of goods. According to Kivokurtsev, in case of a successful pilot, the retailer may purchase ten more robots.
