Unknown persons attacked independent candidate for deputy Alexander Naumov, as Ilya Danilov, coordinator of the local headquarters of Alexei Navalny said. Mr. Naumov, 21, is running as a self-nominated candidate for the city council elections in the 14th district of Lipetsk.

      As the coordinator of Aleksey Navalny's headquarters in Lipetsk told Mediazona, the young man was attacked not far from his house, and now he is waiting for the police. Alexander Naumov himself clarified to SotaVision that the attacker, dressed in all black and with a medical mask on his face, shouted to him: "You will know how to go against the authorities."

      On September 13, Russia will host a single voting day. More than 9 thousand elections of various levels will be held in 83 regions. Early voting begins on September 11 in 41 regions.
