Rosturizm, the tour operator TUI Russia, as well as the authorities of the regions of the Volga Federal District  signed an agreement to start selling tours along the Great Volga Route.

      Earlier it was reported that in the spring of 2016, on the initiative of Tatarstan, discussion of the "Great Volga Way" project began. At the end of the same year, the regions of the Volga region signed an agreement to create a network of routes under this brand. In November 2017, the sale of tickets on two routes of the Great Volga Route started.

      In total, more than 20 interregional routes of the "Great Volga Route" have been developed in  the Volga region, which have a geographical, historical and cultural community, national originality and belong to the main trade and life-supporting artery - the Volga River.

      The creators of the project expect that in the future the brand's popularity will be compared with the "Golden Ring" and "Imperial Route".
