The state of opposition politician Alexei Navalny remains stable, symptoms of poisoning are gradually disappearing,  the German clinic "Charite" says. Mr. Navalny was transported to Germany on August 22, and has been in a coma since the poisoning on August 20. The politician has not regained consciousness yet and is connected to a ventilator, the German doctors said.

The press service of Charite says that it is too early to assess what the consequences of the poisoning will be for Alexei Navalny. “The symptomatology of a cholinergic crisis caused by cholinesterase inhibitor poisoning is diminishing. The patient is still in intensive care in an artificial coma and on a ventilator. His health condition remains grave, but without any serious danger to his life,” the press release said. The clinic added that they "maintain close contact" with the politician's wife.

Let us remind that the oppositionist's associates believe that he was poisoned, they appealed to the TFR with a demand to initiate a criminal case. The Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a pre-investigation check, but did not initiate a case. Doctors of "Charite" confirmed the version of the poisoning of Mr. Navalny. After that, a number of Western countries called for an investigation, but the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that there was no reason for this.
