The first Russian vaccine against COVID-19 "Sputnik V" is included in the list of drugs that are distributed in Russian regions at the federal level. The resolution was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“The first coronavirus vaccine registered in Russia... is included in the list of drugs, the distribution of which is regulated by the state. This will allow controlling the supply of the drug to the regions and help to avoid shortages,” the government said in a statement.
In addition to the vaccine, the list includes dexamethasone, canakinumab, olokizumab, baricitinib, tofacitinib, and levilimab. In early June, a temporary order was adopted for the distribution of drugs for the prevention and treatment of coronavirus. It will be valid until the end of the year.
Russia was the first in the world to register a vaccine against coronavirus. It was developed by the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamalei. The vaccine is planned to be launched into civil circulation within 1.5 months. At the post-registration stage of research, the drug can be administered to tens of thousands of people.
