The theater is organizing its annual festival The Stars of the White Nights taking into account the new sanitary requirements.

 On June 10, the 100th online show of the Mariinsky Theater took place since the institution had been closed to the public.

For already 12 weeks, starting from March 19, the Mariinsky Theater aired every night, and on Saturdays even twice: for children and family viewing in the afternoons and for a wide audience in the evenings. During this time, nearly 76.7 million people from almost 100 countries watched the series of daily online theater shows. Also, the other day, the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, said in an interview that on June 20 it was planned to hold the traditional music festival of the Mariinsky Theater “Stars of the White Nights”, which has existed since 1993. The festival was supposed to take place from May 17 to July 26, but for obvious reasons the theater postponed it until better times. The city mayor said: the festival will be arranged taking into account new requirements. So, the visitors will sit away from each other, the theater will monitor the "mask mode" and maintaining the distance between the musicians.
