The index of women in managerial positions in Russia is 0.7 (on a scale of 0 to 1, where 1 implies full equality of men and women), TASS reports citing a study by The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The average annual growth rate of Russian women in top management is reduced by 1.3%. At the same time, in North and Latin America this index is at the level of 0.6, in Eastern Europe and Central Asia - 0.59, in Western Europe - 0.45.
The index of women who are self-employed in Russia is 0.66. The average annual growth rate is reduced by 2.2%. The entrepreneurial index in Africa is 0.66, in Latin America - 0.64, in North America, in Eastern Europe and Central Asia - 0.61, in Japan - 0.6, in Australia - 0.57, in Asia - 0,56, in Western Europe - 0.5.
The wage equality index in Russia is 0.68, which is comparable with Asia and Australia, where it is at the level of 0.69. In addition, Russia is ahead of Western and Eastern Europe where it is 0.65 and 0.63, respectively, but lags behind Japan (0.7) and North America (0.74).
In terms of wealth owned by women, Russia ranks 10th among European countries with an indicator of $ 320 billion. In total, at the end of 2019, women owned $ 70 trillion, or 32% of the global wealth. A large proportion falls on women in North America ($ 35.4 trillion), countries in Western Europe ($ 14.3), as well as in Asia (without Japan - $ 13 trillion).
