Two-thirds of Russians believe that the economic situation in Russia will only worsen against the backdrop of the current crisis, RBC reports citing a joint study by BCG and Romir. In the next six months, the survey participants plan to reduce costs regardless of when restrictive measures in connection with the coronavirus end.

      Russians are preparing to cut spending much more than residents of other countries: in Brazil they plan to reduce spending by 6%, in the Philippines - by 11%. Almost 40% of Russians intend to save on alcohol, 32% will buy less cosmetics and perfumes, 31% of respondents will reduce the cost of stationary equipment, 29% - smartphones. 21% plan to save on clothes. In general, the savings of Russians will affect about 90% of all product categories.
