In connection with the COVID quarantine, most of the Russia's cultural and leisure institutions have shifted to the web. The world famous Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow, is no exception. Since March 18, the museum’s YouTube channel has been daily broadcasting masterpieces from its permanent exhibition.|
On the first day of broadcast, the largest-scale canvas of the collection was exhibited - “The Appearance of Christ to the People” painted by Alexander Ivanov.
Every day, a virtual show of one of the paintings on display is held live. Users themselves can choose from which hall of the Tretyakov Gallery the broadcast will be done next day. To provide this opportunity, the museum has launched a daily online voting on the social networks Vkontakte and Facebook.
In addition to it, on the Youtube channel you can find lectures, films and tours of the exhibitions that took place in the Tretyakov Gallery.
