Employees of the Russian Arctic National Park explained how to go through self-isolation during the lockdown.
From June to October, the Arctic Park’s employees are isolated from the outside world. Besides, there are those who stay in the Arctic all the winter long and so get isolated for six months.
The specialist of the Environmental Education and Tourism Department of the National Park, Artem Polikarpov points out three major aspects of enduring isolation. Firstly, being in confined spaces of an isolated room, it is a must to connect with your roommates. Conflicting with someone during the cruises is unacceptable, because in case of disagreements and disputes it is impossible to leave the icebreaker.
Secondly, you should keep active - walking on the deck during breaks is mandatory here.
Thirdly, there should be a proper stock of products and essentials for the entire period of isolation on the icebreaker.
