The awarding of the Golden Mask 2020 winners in the most honorable nomination - For Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Theater Art, has been laid on the shelf. The ceremony of the Russian national theatre award scheduled on March 27 will be held after the quarantine is over.

      This was reported by the general director of the Golden Mask festival, Maria Revyakina.

      "Under quarantine, we do not have the right to hold any ceremony. Theaters are closed. The ceremony was traditionally held in the Beethoven Hall of the Bolshoi Theater on March 27, the International Theater Day. But now we can’t do this," - she said.

      The ceremony has been postponed indefinitely.
