Retailers reported the threat of interruptions in supplies to Moscow stores.
Stricter rules for the movement of trucks in Moscow can lead to interruptions in the supply of socially significant goods to stores. The National Union of Experts in Transport and Logistics, the Russian Motor Transport Union, the National Meat Association, the Association of Retail Companies (AKORT) and other industry organizations warn about this in a letter to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, RBC reports.
Market participants are concerned about the changes that are planned to be introduced by Moscow Government Resolution No. 379-PP dated August 22, 2011, restricting the movement of freight transport in the city. If the amendments are adopted, they will enter into force on April 1.
Among the planned changes, the business is most concerned about the new rules for issuing passes for trucks entering the city. Due to the new rules, the route planning mechanism and the time for their completion will significantly change, which will negatively affect cargo logistics in the capital.
