Yandex.Drive launches its service of electric car sharing in Europe.
Yandex.Drive plans to launch electric car sharing in one of the European cities, the Financial Times reports citing the head of the service, Anton Ryazanov. It is expected that the fleet of the first Yandex European car sharing will include one thousand cars.
As options for opening, Yandex.Drive considers cities with favorable conditions for electric vehicles. Among them are a number of cities in France and Italy, as well as Copenhagen and Madrid.
Yandex.Drive car sharing park now includes 21 thousand cars, which makes it the largest such service in the world. It is expected that in 2020 the revenue of the service will double and reach $ 16 million. According to Ryazanov, the company expects to achieve profitability "in the next few years."
