The border guards of the Russian Federation and Estonia are not ready for the growth of tourist flow after the introduction of electronic visas. Estonian bus carriers fear that the border services of their country and Russia are not ready to increase the flow of tourists due to the launch of issuance of electronic visas to St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Oblast.
The capacity of the border crossing point Narva - Ivangorod will not make it possible to increase the number of bus passengers to the neighboring country. When bus companies raised the issue of increasing the number of travels, they obtained refusal both in Estonia and in Russia, since the time of border crossings had been already scheduled.
The obstacles include insufficient infrastructure and a narrow bridge across the Narva border river.
