Ingush researchers have found unique cave paintings in the mountainous Dzheyrakhsky district of the republic; these paintings will be included in the new book titled “Ingush National Ornamental Pattern”.

As a result of the next expedition, the “Dzurzuki” team discovered new petroglyphs. These patterns differ from the previous ones in the fact that they can be seen on rocky ledges. Until now, researchers have recorded many images of this kind only on residential, security, funerary and religious buildings.

It should be noted that the ledge is situated on an ancient road that has almost disappeared and used to run along the foot of the Tsey-Lam Ridge throughout the territory of mountainous Ingushetia until it entered the Tarskaya valley of Prigorodny district. The new data will be included into the second book of the “Ingush National Ornamental Pattern” Society.
