The festival of military history clubs was held from August 17 to 18 in Kaluga Oblast: about a thousand re-enactors from various cities of Russia, Israel, Denmark, Germany and Belarus took part in it.

      Participants  recreated the city of Ancient Russia near the village of Taydashevo in the Zhukovsky district. Besides, th fest included reconstructions of several battles, competitions in archery, a historical costume contest, fairs and workshops in ancient crafts, creative performances.

      About 7 thousand spectators visited the “Voinovo Pole” festival. Another military-historical festival – “The Great Stand on the Ugra River” dedicated to the events of 1480 – was held in mid-July in Kaluga Oblast.
