Nikolai Tsiskaridze Becomes a French Order Caballero

The leading ballet soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Nikolai Tsiskaridze has been conferred on the title of the Caballero of the order of the French Republic 'For achievements in arts and literature'. The dancer says that he learnt about the reward quite unexpectedly.
'After the tour in London I came to the theatre and at my make-up desk there was a diploma signed by the French Minister of Culture and Communications', - explains Nikolai. Certainly, that was a pleasant surprise, he confesses. According to the Russian ballet celebrity, the awarding ceremony will take place later.
