June 22 and 23, 2019, will see a unique mix of the Sun festivities celebrated in one place not far from Moscow. 

       Dedicated to the summer solstice, this is a festival of the joys of life, warmth and energy, and the victory of light over darkness. Merry folk Russian songs, traditional dishes of Russian cuisine and round dances around the fire – all of it you will find at Ethnomir on these two days!

      The Sun Festival program includes:

      • concerts and shows;

      • traditional amusements including the games of various peoples of the world dedicated to the sun, folk competitions, and the like;

      • workshops in handmade solar symbols, such as mandalas and sansaras, making straw dolls and weaving wreaths, cooking classes with “solar food”, and workshops on national round dances;

      • a light show and a fire show.
