Guy Ritchie’s Aladdin Tops the Russian Box Office

The full-length feature film Aladdin directed by Guy Ritchie heads the rental in Russia and the CIS countries as of the last weekend of May.

      Over the period from May 23 to 26, the film adaptation of the famous Disney cartoon has collected 413.5 million rubles in Russian cinemas, the portal kinobusiness.com reports.


      The 2nd place in the Russian box office is taken by The Secret Life of Pets 2 animation directed by Chris Renaud. It gathered more than 150 million rubles in this country over the past weekend.

      It is followed with Pokémon. Detective Pikachu by director Rob Letterman. The animated film raised more than 94 million rubles over the weekend. In the entire period of distribution in Russia and the CIS countries, the film gathered more than 408 million rubles.
