Smetanino Fest: Russia’s Biggest Scrambled Eggs Consisting of 7 Thousand Eggs Broke Records

Russia’s biggest scrambled eggs consisting of 7 thousand eggs was cooked at the festival near Smolensk. The event was held in the village of Smetanino located 30 km away from Smolensk.

      The guests of the festival were able to taste popular dishes of world cuisines, and also learn to cook them. The main event of the Smetanino Fest was cooking of the largest scrambled eggs in the country. In a real time mode the guests of the festival broke 7 thousand eggs into a two-ton pan.

      The wonderful scrambled eggs will be entered into the Russian Book of Records.

      The participants of the Tourist Cluster of the region presented a Smolensk recipe book to the guests of the festival: the book is based on old culinary records from different parts of the region under intriguing names: Kulaga, Kulesh, Krupenya, Tyurya, Ladki, black Smolensk pie, Smolensk otluchentsy. Visitors were able to taste some of these dishes.
