Veliky Novgorod is not just an old city, but an open-air museum that displays the sights of ancient Russia to its visitors.
It was here that Russian democratic foundations and statehood arose.
Old Russian churches, the mighty towers of the Novgorod Kremlin, authentic monasteries, wooden houses built more than 4 centuries ago, and a great amount of historical and architectural monuments — all this and much more can be found in Veliky Novgorod.
The new exhibition in the Hermitage Garden of Moscow highlights the beauty of these places. The exhibition includes photographs showing everything that has been created in the Novgorod Region for over 11 centuries of its existence.
The exhibition is free for all comers.
