Navigation on Moscow Canal will begin on April 24, as planned; the completion of the works on the section that was damaged in January over the Tushino Tunnel in Moscow is scheduled for June.
The drawbacks in the design of the Tushino Tunnel on Volokolamskoye Highway and the poor quality of construction and installation works and materials during its construction in 2000 caused an accident at the dam of the Moscow Canal. It is planned to complete the restoration of the damaged section between gateways No. 7 and No. 8 in June 2019.
At this, the navigation time on the inland waterways of the Moscow Basin will not change: transportations along the rivers of Central Russia will start on schedule: on April 24.
