Sheremetyevo Airport has begun to service passengers with electronic boarding passes on domestic airlines. According to the airport’s message, the service was launched “as part of the automation strategy and introduction of electronic services”.

The new service will allow passengers to save time, eliminate the need to print boarding passes and the risk of losing them, simplify and speed up the departure formalities procedure.

A passenger can issue an electronic boarding pass at the time of checking in for a flight on the airline’s website or via the airline’s mobile application, then receive it on a mobile device. If the passenger has such a need, it is possible to print the electronic boarding pass on special reprint devices installed directly at the check-in counters.
