Five percent of international students in the world choose Russia for higher education. The same number of students is attracted to French universities.
Russia and France share the fifth and sixth places in the world in terms of student mobility, according to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics.
The number of world leaders in this indicator also includes the USA, England, Australia, and Germany. Education in these six countries is chosen by almost half of the students who decide to study in foreign universities.
The growing attractiveness of Russian higher education in international rankings, which has been observed in recent years, is consistent with the state program “Development of the Export Potential of the Russian Education System”.
The growing popularity of Russian universities with foreigners is steadily growing. Agreements between Russia and a number of countries in Europe, South and North America and Africa on the mutual recognition of the higher national certificates have facilitated impressive results.
