Winter passenger navigation on the ten all-season motor ships has opened in Moscow.

      Ice-class motor ships with strengthened cases will transport citizens and tourists in the winter. They are able to break the ice with the thickness of up to 20 centimeters. A total of 10 such vessels will run along the Moskva River.

      At the same time, about 140 summer motor ships which have been transporting tourists from April to November will be parked until spring comes.

      Winter river routes in Moscow opened not so long ago, but they have already become popular. More than 200 thousand passengers have been transported from November 2017 to April 2018.

      Foreigners can use audio guides in English, French, German, Italian and Chinese on these routes. As noted, in winter passengers are transported along the two most popular tourist water routes in the central part of the city.

      The passengers are able to view the main attractions of the capital: Moscow Kremlin, St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Luzhniki Stadium, main building of Moscow State University and Hotel Ukraine. The duration of each tour makes up approximately 2.5 hours.
