The state support of Russian winemakers will increase 2 times.
The Ministry of Agriculture reported that state investments in domestic winemaking will reach 3 billion roubles in 2019. The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Oksana Lut told that these amounts were included into the budget. The official added that the Ministry was also exploring the possibility of subsidizing the financial expenditures on the establishment of vineyards. In her opinion, these measures are quite enough to support this industry.
According to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture, the grape harvest reach 540,000 tons in 2018, whereas last year it amounted to 537,000 tons. 460,000 tons of grapes have already been harvested, the leaders in harvesting are Krasnodar Territory and Dagestan with 198,000 tons and 162,000 tons, respectively.
