He recalled that the total area of the Water Sports Centre amounted to about 58 thousand square meters. As it was reported, the swimming centre in Luzhniki will be built on the site of a former swimming pool. According to the area of the water surface, it will be three times larger than its predecessor and will be able to receive up to 10 thousand people per day. In order to preserve the historical appearance and architectural ensemble of Luzhniki, it was decided to build the new swimming centre in the style of 1950s.
