Photo Exhibition Multicontour of Moscow

The Moscow Museum is holding an exhibition of works by Nikolai Drachinsky, an experimenter in photography art.

The project “Multicontour Moscow” focuses on the creative legacy of the master's technological experiments in the 1970s.

An incredibly talented photographer, Nikolai Drachynsky (1917-1978) made an invaluable contribution into the development of photography art of Russia and abroad.

He created a multi-layered color image technique known as multicontour. This innovation enabled the photography master to attain special effects long before the availability of digital photo editors, which are widely used by designers and photo artists nowadays.

The exhibition project is devoted to Moscow, since it was the favorite city of Nikolai Drachinsky and the main theme of his photographic experiments.

      When: from August 17, 2018 to September 30, 2018.

Open hours: from 10 am to 7 pm

Where: Moscow Museum at the address 2, Zubovsky Blvd., next to metro station Park Kultury, Moscow
