More than 500 festive events will be held in Moscow on the City Day, on September 8 and 9. The main venues of festivities will be Tverskaya, Pushkinskaya and Theatre Square, Poklonnaya Gora, Tverskaya Street, Tsvetnoy Boulevard, Gorky Park, VDNKh (Exhibition of Economic Achievements), as well as Tsaritsyno and Kolomenskoye museums.

      In addition, concert programs and festivities will be held in parks, recreation areas and other district areas. According to the department, public order and security of citizens in the places of mass events will be ensured by more than 42 thousand people.

      Security will be ensured by about 25 thousand police officers, more than 10 thousand soldiers of Federal National Guard Troops Service, 3 thousand people’s volunteers and more than 4 thousand employees of private security companies.
