The Museum of Archeology will open at the year-round “Rosa Khutor” mountain resort in Sochi. The museum is located almost in the centre of the resort - near the Town Hall, at the Rozy Square. The museum uses such exhibition formats where traditional exhibition techniques are supplemented by interactive technologies.

      “The museum's collection is based on historical materials obtained during the archaeological research in the area of ​​construction of Olympic facilities on the territory of Rosa Khutor in 2010-2014. The material obtained shows the rich history of the territory from the Stone Age to the New Time”, the report says. The exposition begins with the history of formation of the Caucasian mountains and narrates about all periods of history in a sequential order. The main exhibits of the museum are the historical findings presented in the form of realistic full-scale copies of artifacts found on the resort territory.
