Paul McCartney’s Book For Children Published in Russia

Russian publishing house ROSMAN has issued Paul McCartney’s book for children. The book ‘High in the Clouds’ about adventures of Wirral the Squirrel and Froggo is already available in Russian bookshops.

Fleeing from an ecological catastrophe caused by man’s reckless activities, the heroes set off in quest of the wondrous island Animalia, where, as legend says, animals live in freedom and happiness, the press-release reads.
McCartney known for his public utterances making a stand for animals’ protection ponders upon the global problem of environmental pollution.
Famous English children’s writer Philip Ardagh helped Paul McCartney in creating the book. The illustrations are by artist and director Geoff Dunbar who worked with McCartney on the animated cartoon "Rupert and the Frog Song" (1985).

‘Man can be judged by the way he treats animals, his brothers on the planet Earth. For many years I’ve been working on this story and these characters and now I am happy to see the ideas having developed into a wonderful storybook’, the author says.
