FIFA Fans Enjoyed Kazan

During the 20 days of the World Cup, 21,125 echpochmaks have been eaten and 87,927 liters of beer have been drunk in Kazan cafes, as the press service of the State Committee for Tourism of Tatarstan informs. “An average purchases size of Russian fans is 1500 roubles per person, for foreigners the size is about 2000 roubles per person”, as the press release said.

      It is noted that the fans from Colombia proved to be the most benevolent. After a dinner at a city restaurant they invited the chef and performed a song as a token of appreciation.

      The management of Kazan institutions accredited by the “Visit Tatarstan” brand characterizes foreign visitors as “cheerful guests creating a friendly atmosphere and unforgettable impressions”. Echpochmak is a dish of national Tatar cuisine. It is a triangular patty stuffed with potatoes and meat.
