The grave of the famous film director is located next to those of Oleg Tabakov and Leonid Bronevy.

      The People's Artist of the Russian Federation, film director Stanislav Govorukhin, aged 82, died on June 14, 2018 after a disease.

      The Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, he was laid to rest with military honors at the Novodevichy Cemetery of Moscow on Saturday.

      The grave of the film director is located next to the burials of Oleg Tabakov and Leonid Bronevoy. The burial ceremony was preceeded with a civil funeral service at the cemetery and Requiem Mass.

      The Presidential adviser on culture, Vladimir Tolstoy emphasized that Stanislav Govorukhin had been a most important figure for the Russian cinema, a cult personality.

      "He whwwas the conscience of our cinema of recent decades,"  - Vladimir Tolstoy said.
