A record income of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Khloponin in the entire history of government declarations (2.9 billion roubles for 2017) was provided by the sale of his Italian villa to the owner of the “Onexim” SC Mikhail Prokhorov. According to the representative of Khloponin, the largest part of the income displayed in the declaration was constituted by the transaction on the sale of real estate. According to the calculations of BBC, the Vice Prime Minister sold the house for 2.89 billion roubles (44 million euros).

According to the data of the Cadastral Chamber of Italy quoted by the publication, Khloponin owned a land plot and a villa in Tuscany from 2008 to 2017. Then the house was sold to “FDM Real Estate” Ltd. which also is owned by Prokhorov through the Cypriot “Neptolino Holding” company.
