After some modernization Russian spaceship “Soyuz” will be able to spend about a year on earth’s orbit, to fly to the Moon and back and to enter Earth’s atmosphere on the second cosmic velocity with cosmonauts aboard, reports the Head of the Russian space corporation “Energia”.
      
      “Up-to-date technologies will make the “Soyuz” a multipurpose spaceship”, says the official. The spaceship will be able to stay orbited up to 360 days, which is much longer than any of existing spaceships can.
      
      “Now “Soyuz-TMA” is equipped with five different radio-technical systems, and modernization will reduce all said systems to one compact unit”, reports the official.
      
      New equipment, which is said to weigh less and to be more accurate, allows more free space for cosmonauts’ comfort and more useful devices for necessary studies.
