A group of senators from the Republican and Democratic parties of the USA have demanded that the Administration of President Donald Trump should block the project of the “Nord Stream-2” pipeline. They demanded to use “all available tools” for this purpose.

      The parliamentarians have sent a letter to the Minister of Finance Stephen Mnuchin and the Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan. “We must make it clear to our European allies that we are determined to support their energy independence and protect them from the harmful influence of “Nord Stream-2” in the long term” - the message says.
