Experts have analyzed data on the 22 largest cities in Russia and calculated how much parents needed to spend in order to provide children of different sex and age with the necessities. The results of the research carried out by the Avito company were made available to Lenta.ru.
According to the analysts, in February 2018 the average cost of a “children’s bundle” in Russia made up 28.9 thousand and 28.8 thousand roubles for newborn girls and boys, respectively. The cost of a “commodity bundle” for girls of preschool age amounted to 25.1 thousand roubles, for boys – to 25 thousand. In order to provide the girls of the school age with the necessities, parents need to spend 17,000, for boys - 16.9 thousand roubles.
