Russia has ranked 26th in the ranking of the best countries in the world, according to the “U.S. News & World Report” magazine. At the same time, Russia was ahead of a number of Eastern and Central European countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and others.
The countries were evaluated according to nine parameters, including the importance of the country on the global arena, its cultural and historical heritage, tourist appeal, as well as general living standards of population. The place in the ranking was determined as the sum of all scores. Russia received the highest score for political power (10/10), average scores for cultural and historical heritage (3.5-5.3) and the lowest scores for general living standards of the population (1.8). At the same time, experts gave zero points to the indicator of the country’s “business friendliness”.
