From January 20 to 27 Valery Gergiev and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra are performing in the concert halls of Munich, Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam and Hamburg. Compositions by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Richard Wagner, Johannes Brahms and Richard Strauss are played.
At the concerts in Gasteig (January 20 and 21), the Paris Philharmonic (January 22) and the Cologne Philharmonic (January 23), soprano Anja Harteros (Germany) will sing solo.
From January 24 to 27, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra will continue to play under the conductorship of maestro Gergiev in the concert halls of Amsterdam (Concertgebouw), Munich (Philharmonic Gasteig) and Hamburg (Elbe Philharmonic).
Joint concerts of Valery Gergiev and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra will go on in February, when Munich will for the third time see Valery Gergiev’s festival "360 Degrees". This time the music festival will be dedicated to Igor Stravinsky.
