Roscosmos experts specified that the engines of the Star module would be started on January 17 at 11:15 pm Moscow time.
The orbit of the International Space Station will be raised by approximately 600 meters with the help of the Star module engines on Wednesday. This was reported to TASS by the Russian Mission Control Center.
“The engine of the Star service module will work for 22 seconds; the maneuver will result in the average altitude of the ISS flight orbit at 404.4 km”, - the RMCC informed.
Roscosmos experts specified that the engines of the Star module would be started on January 17 at 11:15 pm Moscow time.
"The purpose of correcting the altitude is to provide ballistic conditions for launching the Progress-MS-08 cargo vehicle into orbit,”- the state corporation explained.
The launch of Progress is scheduled for February 11, 2018.
