96 New Year Performances have been Shown on the District Venues of the “Journey to Christmas” Festival

According to the web site of the capital’s Mayor, the guests of the special New Year program of the “Journey to Christmas” festival held on Tverskaya Street were 2.7 million residents of the city and tourists. This was told by Sergei Sobyanin on his official page at “Vkontakte” social network.

      During three days, from December 31 to January 2, the main street of the city was pedestrian. According to the Moscow Department of Culture, 96 New Year performances have been shown on the district venues of the “Journey to Christmas” festival during these days. The total number of spectators of theatre performances amounted to 196 thousand people. As the department specified, the festive events at the parks of culture and recreation have been visited by more than 670 thousand people, libraries - by 4790 people, and cultural centres – by 6228 people.
