Paleontologists Established Age of the 1st Dinosaur Egg Found in Russia

Paleontologists of the Tomsk State University have studied the first dinosaur egg found in Russia - the find is about 100 million years old.

      The unique find was unearthed in the territory of the Kemerovo Region several years ago. According to scientists, the egg belonged to predatory troodontidae dinosaurs, which are considered to be the ancestors of modern birds.

      According to scientists, the age of the find is about 100 million years.

      "This discovery is a great luck, because for Russia it is the first and so far the only one," Stepan Ivantsov, a researcher at the laboratory of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic Continental Systems of the TSU said.
