Mikhail Manakov, the winner of the 23rd annual N. Lamanova contest for emerging designers, was awarded a personal début in MBFW Russia with his collection. This year contest's theme was Revolution. Red, grey and black, glitter wingtip shoes, thick bright stockings, graphics and straight lines were on display. A graduate of Vyacheslav Zaitsev Fashion Laboratory, he managed to introduce a fresh interpretation of constructivist ideas of the 1920s blending them with Japanese tinges and calligraphy ornaments.
Garments on the collection: floor length skirts with intentionally wide pleats, jackets with bloomer letters lapels, tunics and shirts.
