Turkey may refuse from acquiring Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems (AMS) in case no agreement on joint production is reached. Such a statement was made by the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in an interview to the “Akşam” newspaper. According to him, Turkey needs to purchase S-400 missiles, since the country needs to protect its airspace. “However, if the countries opposed to Russia do not want Turkey to buy S-400 missiles, then they must offer us their alternative option” - the Turkish Minister said.
