Widow of Yuri Gagarin Becomes Honorary Citizen of the Moscow Region

The award ceremony took place in the framework of celebrating the Day of Moscow Region.

Valentina Gagarina, the widow of the first-ever astronaut, Yuri Gagarin, has been was adopted as the Honorary Citizen of the Moscow Region.

The highest award of the region was handed down to her by Governor Andrei Vorobyev in the framework of the festive event dedicated to the Day of Moscow Region.

Valentina Gagarin lives in the Zvezdny (Star) City. She has been awarded the title of honour for her great personal contribution into creating a unique exposition of the Yuri Gagarin Museum, as well as for patriotic work with the pupils of the Komarov School in Star City.
