Heads of the Russian and American space agencies have agreed to construct a new space station, Deep Space Gateway.

      It is expected to be put into the orbit of the Moon in 2024. As the head of Roscosmos, Igor Komarov told at the International Astronautical Congress in 2017 in Australia, the BRICS countries can also take part in the project. 

      For this purpose, the leading space powers are going to unify national technical standards, some of which will be based on Russian designs. According to Igor Komarov, "this will offer new opportunities for utilizing the capacities of our industry".
