Intact Medieval Layer Found by Archaeologists in Feodosia

Archaeologists have discovered an untouched medieval layer near the Constantine Tower, Feodosia.

Now scientists have to find out what minerals and remains of ancient creatures can be there in this land.

Archaeologists emphasized that there were lots of mysterious objects around the tower. Most of them are harboured in the foundations of modern buildings. According to the Public Relations Department of Feodosia City Council, the discovery took place in the course of archaeological excavations. Representatives of the Crimean Archeology Institute advised to make three additional pits for thorough examination of this cultural layer.
