Saratov Student Wins Prestigious Competition of Bayan Players in Italy

Alexandra Mikhailova has taken prize at the 70th International Contest of Bayan Players and Accordionists “World Cup” in Italy.

      A freshman of the Saratov Sobinov Conservatory, she has won in the Junior Virtuoso Entertainment nomination.

      A graduate of S.V. Rakhmaninov Music School, she is currently studying in the class of associate professor Vyacheslav Bondarenko at the Saratov Conservatory.

      "World Cup" is one of the most prestigious contests among accordionists and bayan players. The competition is held annually in various countries. Last year it was for the first time held in Russia, in Rostov-on-Don. The grand contest is considered to be Olympics among musicians.
