Vegetables And Fruits Will Become Cheaper

Vegetables and fruits will grow cheaper by almost 80 percent this autumn, as compared with June. The publication got acquainted with the letter of the agency “On the development of the forecast on social and economic development of Russia for 2018 and for the scheduled period of the years 2019 and 2020” saying that the prices for fruits and vegetables should fall by 79.6 percent by this autumn.

Producers of fruits and vegetables consider the forecast to be justified, as the newspaper notes. Such processes are explained by the active harvesting process, as the director of the Fruit and Vegetable Union Mikhail Glushkov reported.

“The Ministry of Agriculture recorded that this year the harvest is good enough, so the products’ prices will really fall” - the Deputy Director of the Association of Retail Trade Vladimir Ionkin said.
