The Russian economy has successfully overcome the crisis, and the situation in mutual trade with Japan is improving. This was reported by the Head of the Representative Office of the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and New Independent States Saito Daisuke on Friday, August 25.
“In my opinion, Russia is already out of the crisis. This is evidenced by the tendency to restore the level of mutual trade turnover” - the agency quotes his words. According to the Japanese Ministry of Finance, in 2016 exports from Japan to Russia amounted to 5.1 billion dollars, imports - to 11.3 billion. The total volume of trade between the countries amounted to 16.4 billion dollars.
